At the workshop, representatives of the six CEMAC member states identified key elements and the way forward towards the development of a Regional Action Plan for the Promotion of Access to Energy in the CEMAC region. In addition, they adopted the Brazzaville Declaration that, among others, calls on the member states to integrate energy as a focal area into their national poverty reduction strategies. The conference was prepared and moderated by the Belgian consultancy firm Altran Europe in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Congo.
