First High Level Meeting of the Africa-EU Energy Partnership
The First High Level Meeting on 14/15 September 2010 will be the first of its kind, bringing together leading politicians and decision-makers from Africa and Europe. At the event, a road map as well as concrete targets for the AEEP’s future work will be endorsed.

Biomass in the form of firewood and charcoal plays an important - and often neglected - role in the economy of Rwanda. EUEI PDF supported the development of a biomass energy strategy (BEST) with the Government of Rwanda focusing on the sustainable supply of woodfuels.
Uganda: Training district energy officers in energy planning
The Ministry of Local Government (MoLG) of Uganda has requested support from EUEI PDF to build the capacity of local government in the energy sector and to consider creating the post of District Energy Officers to facilitate delivery of modern energy services in rural areas.
DR Congo: First electricity law developed with Ministry of Energy
