Integrating access to energy into the National Development Plan (NDP) and the National Long Term Vision (NLTV) of Zambia

On behalf of PDF and upon a request from the Zambian Ministry of Energy and Water Development, the local consulting firm Ruralnet organised a consultative process for the integration of access to energy services in the National Development Plan (NDP) and the National Long Term Vision (NLTV). Multi-stakeholder consultations and surveys in all nine provinces and a large number of Zambian districts were undertaken. The recommendations developed at these meetings were presented at a national workshop that took place in Lusaka in December 2005. At this workshop, recommendations for projects and wording to be included in the NDP and the NLTV were elaborated.
