Development of an Energy Access Strategy for the East African Community

PDF cooperated with UNDP to support the secretariat of EAC (East African Community) to formulate a regional strategy to promote access to energy in rural and peri-urban areas. The strategy identifies the investment requirements and sources of funding (private, public) needed to achieve the EAC energy access targets laid down in the EAC document 'Scaling up Modern Energy Services in East Africa'. The project was implemented by the US-based consulting firm Dahlberg Consultants.
