Development of a CEMAC Action Plan on Energy Access

As a follow-up to the Brazzaville workshop (see above), the CEMAC Secretariat requested PDF to support the development of a Regional Action Plan for the Promotion of Access to Energy in Central Africa. A team from the French consulting firm IED and including a Cameroonian energy expert has visited the six CEMAC countries and prepared the formulation of an action plan that includes priority projects on the regional and national level. The action plan was adopted at a CEMAC workshop in Douala, Cameroon. As a follow-up activity PDF is now funding the preparation of a dialogue between project developers in the region and finance institutions and donors with a view to preparing investment proposals to implement the action plan.
