Workshop on Regional Activities for Increased Access to Energy in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA)

The objective of this first PDF-funded workshop on regional energy access in SSA on March 5-6, 2007 in Berlin was to discuss the role of regional organisations such as ECOWAS, SADC, EAC and CEMAC in scaling up energy access, and how they can be supported by the donor community. The workshop brought together participants from regional organisations, continental organisations (FEMA, AFREC), national governments and donor organisations (World Bank, AfDB, UNDP, EU, bilaterals).
